As cliche as it may be to start an "about me" page with words of another, this quote seems to capture a way of being that has rung true for me throughout my life. I want to make everything around me beautiful, not only on the surface, but from the inside out.
So welcome. I'm Jordan (Ackerman) Collier. A consultant by day, and creative by night and weekends. I dabble in interior design, floral design, writing, and photography.
My husband and I live in San Francisco with our two cats, Goose and Hazel. My horse and dressage teammate, Dublin, is the other main love of my life. While I was born and raised in Cincinnati, I have since lived in Dallas, Washington DC, and St. Louis, along with stints in Paris, San Francisco, and Baltimore.
ABOUT FÊTE DU JOUR
The idea for Fête du Jour was born during my wedding planning process, of all times. In the midst of decisions and an ever-evolving design board, I thought to myself: why is so much pressure put on this one day? Why don't we give ourselves permission to celebrate the everyday?
Around that time, I was presented with the opportunity to write the book Romantize Your Life. While writing a book was the last thing I needed to add to my plate in the months leading up to my wedding, the topic felt too perfect to pass up. Savoring the everyday and making magic out of the mundane has always been something I love.
And so here we are! Fête du Jour is a lifestyle brand here to help you elevate and celebrate your everyday. I hope this platform brings a bit of lightness, inspiration, and joy to you.
